Production Date: 1955 (Marked). This transitional piece represents the pinnacle of post-WWII Italian mountain equipment.
Heavyweight Construction: Made from a thick, stiff, high-density cotton canvas characteristic of the 1950s. This material is significantly more robust than later surplus versions.
Storage: Large main compartment (~45L) with two tall, deep external side pockets designed for mountain tools, canteens, or fuel canisters.
Suspension: Original heavy-duty padded shoulder straps with metal hardware and a clear ID window for troop identification on the rear.
Condition:
Canvas: Excellent vintage condition. One small hole is present from long term storage (pictured).
Hardware: All grommets, the chain mechanism, and buckles are fully functional. The metal shows minor surface wear but no deep corrosion.
